Anger-Crottendorf is a district of Leipzig and according to the municipal structure of Leipzig administratively a district in the district East (official district number: 22). It was first built in 1883 as an independent municipality by the union of the two villages Anger and Crottendorf and was incorporated in 1889 to Leipzig. Anger-Crottendorf has a surface area of ​​1.86 km ² and had on December 31, 2018 11,837 inhabitants.

Anger-Crottendorf is located about 2.5 km east of the city center of Leipzig. Its neighboring parts are clockwise from the north Sellerhausen-Stünz, Mölkau, Stötteritz, Reudnitz-Thonberg, Neustadt-Neuschönefeld and Volkmarsdorf. In its eastern part, Anger-Crottendorf contains part of the Ore Rietzschke flood plain.

The district Anger-Crottendorf includes most of the districts Anger and Crottendorf, the southern part of the district Stünz (with the Volkshain Stünz) and small parts of the district Reudnitz.

Anger-Crottendorf has hardly any features of its village history because of its early onset urban development, which results from the proximity to the city. Since the decommissioning of industrial companies after the fall of the Wall it is a pure residential area. The residential development includes buildings from the Gründerzeit to the present day. The district was neither a proletarian residential area nor a residential area for the wealthy bourgeoisie. Villas are almost completely missing.
